Kirkbean Parish Church in Dumfries and Galloway, is said to have been designed by William Craik, sometime Laird of Arbigland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is currently occupied by The Church of Scotland.<\/p>\n

The tower on the west wall is of two lower stages, 1776, with a Diocletian window in its second stage, and two upper stages added in 1836 are by Walter Newall.<\/p>\n

The church or kirkyard at Kirkbean has had pre-1855 monumental inscriptions transcribed and indexed and these will be added to the local history website<\/a> to assist those carrying out their family history research.<\/p>\n
