The Old Parish Church was built in 1790 with the spire and clock added later when funds became available.

The church features galleries on three sides with an extension to rear.
The bell tower was added 1801.
The church is currently used by The Church of Scotland.

The clock on St. John’s Church Bassenthwaite features a blue face and brass coloured numbers.
Within the narrow bell tower it appears as if the bells are sideways and not hung like in a wider bell tower.

Garstang is a small town just outside of Lancaster in Lancashire.
Garstang Town Hall Clock
Excellent communications links, The Lancaster canal, the River Wyre and more recently the nearby M6 have all helped the prosperity of this market town with a population of around 5000.
The town hall, was rebuilt in 1754 It was topped with a timber cupola with a clock.
A fire in 1938 destroyed the roof, bell tower and clock, which in due course were replaced.
The Town Hall clock had major repairs in 2005-6 at a cost of £16,505.

With a blue face with gold coloured numbers is the clock high on the bell tower on Kendal Parish Church.

Perched high above the Stricklandgate and Highgate junction in Kendal stands the town hall clock.
Kendal Town Hall Clock
The bell tower contains 11 bells and strikes the hour and quarters.
On the hour assorted folk songs are played.
The current bells were first rung at 11am on the 22 June 1897 to mark Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
The hour bell was cast in 1897 by Taylor and weighs 44100lbs
