Built in 1887 by a local stone mason Annan Town Hall is an imposing building commanding the town centre.

John Graham was the local mason who created this building to replace a building built in 1723.

Annan Town Hall

A building of some sort has been on this site from at least the 16th century.

The clock was gifted to the town in 1900 as Chalmers request.

Below the clock is a recently installed statue of Robert the Bruce.

The plinth for the statue was installed when the building was built however it took until 2010 for the statue to be installed.

The statue cost £43,000 with money raised by the Annan Bruce Heritage Project.

St Lawrence’s Church, Appleby, Cumbria

St. Lawrence’s church in Appleby Cumbria is a grade 1 listed building.

The church is said to be of late 12th century foundation and rebuilt late in the 13th after a raid by the Scots

Lady Anne Clifford restored the church in the 16th century .

During the 19th Century some internal redesign took place.

Nothing is known about the clock.

This is the clock at the entrance to Blackhall Yard in Kendal.

Blackhall Yard. Kendal

Black Hall was the residence of Henry Wilson who was the first Alderman of Kendal.

The area dates back to the 16th Century.

Black Hall became a brush factory in the late 1800s.

The area is currently used as a shopping area.
